Fresno Pro-Am

Drove up to RioFrio's house on Friday afternoon. Woke up Saturday morning with some crazy allergy's could hardly breath haha. Ate a good breakfast and headed to the track.

The track and the facility's are amazing. There are pump tracks, trails, like 50 table top trails in a row all going down hill, just alot of fun and on top of it I would have to say the best track in the country at the moment!

I rode there last summer and there was still dirt turns so you kind of had to tip-toe through it trying not to slide out and now that all 3 turns are asphalted its amazing!

The pro-am was scheduled to be run with the state race they were having at the same time but just like I thought knowing NBL there was gonna be a ball up. Stan (Head of California Bmx I think) had brain wave that since we had 5 pro riders and the NBL rules say that if there is 5 riders in Pro it makes a class. So never mind everyone else wanted to be joined up and race together the Pro-Am was cancelled.

So we talked to Bret Head of Fresno Bmx and get gathered up some cash and we had set the Pro-Am for after the race.

So we hit up the trails and rode for a bit and then got a few laps on the track before the race. It was one moto a semi and a main.

The first moto I opted for gate 8. Had a good gate and lead the whole track until the last corner where I cased the wall of a step up and face planted straight to the ground. Good thing the helmet was DOT approved cause it took a beating. Took me a while to get up and when I did I couldn't see straight, so just chilled for a while and drove home.

Big ups to Austin Hiatt only 15 years old schooling all the older guys bringing home the 2nd behind stump.

Next stop this weekend in Bakersfield.. should be a good one!
