Roseville

Well training has been really hard after Fresno and the S&P open but it has been going well up to date! Kane and I have been putting 110% into everything so feeling good about training and being on the bike!

We took a break from racing after Fresno to focus on training for worlds. This is my first year Elite so I'm really excited for worlds. The break from racing I think was a good choice, we could get a good solid month and half of training in, and not being racing for awhile brought back the hunger to do well.

We loaded up the bikes Friday morning. Myself Kane and Justin headed off to Roseville.

We left home and it was around 70 degrees. When we got there it was about 110. I thought I was gonna die! I could seriously feel my body over heating. Luckily the weekend before we made the trip up with JB.com to ride the track.

Practice went well. The track is SUPER basic! you could just look at it and ride your first moto and do just fine! It is an awesome track though, it flows really well so it was fun to ride.

After practice to headed back to the hotel then hit the spaghetti factory up for grub and headed back and hit an ice bath and was set for day 1!

Saturday rolled around and we got up and headed to Denny's for some breakfast. After that we got ready for some practice before the race.

I felt good in practice and was ready for some Racing! First two motos I won and had low points so relaxed the 3rd moto and got ready for the 1/4s. A pro had 41 riders signed up for racing so that made us have 1/4s. Pro Cruiser I ended up 3rd overall.

1/4s I had a solid lap and finished 1st and also won my semi. The main came around and all the pros voted for a one lap main event instead of the normal 3. I came out with lane 2 for the main.

In the main I had a decent first straight and was a bit to cautious into turn one but came out first. I messed up a little on the 2nd straight and Weston Pope Pulled up along side me. We went into turn 2 neck and neck. Weston carved alittle to early and hit my back wheel causing him to crash. I managed to stay up and take the win for day one! I was really happy with that as it was my first ABA win for the season.

After racing we headed back to the room to get some A/C haha cause it was BOILING outside. We chilled for awhile and then headed to dinner with Riofrio and Stumpy. Stump won day one aswell taking it from start to finish. He had some serious HP going down the first straight, left me simply amazed!

We had an early night for the 5:30am wake up call. We headed to Denny's again and got some grub and headed to the track for warm up. I had a good nights rest and felt ready for day 2! Moto one started out hard. I had Weston Pope and Mike Moller, and a few others. I won the first two motos and chilled the 3rd one.

Pro cruiser I had a good lap, was in 2nd behing Danny C trying to hold of Tyler Brown. Took a bad line in turn 2 and TB got around me.. I was pumped on the way Pro Cruiser went over the weekend! I have always enjoyed riding cruiser, so its good to mix it up with the big guys.

1/4 staged up and I had an outside gate. I made the most of it and ended up first. In the semi I rode a decent lap and got the win.

This time the ran the 3 mains. I actually had some good gates. I had 3,6,1 So for the most part was on the inside. First main I had a late gate and got held up behind Kristaps Conrads in turn 1. I managed to avoide the carnage and ended up with the 3rd. Second main I had gate 6 and got a better gate but again got caught up behind Conrads in turn 1, but this time abunch of guys high-lowed so I had to play catch up. I high lowed in turn 2 and moved into 2nd. I charged hard to try get the win but Johnny "Rocket" Woodmansee held me off. So the way the positions ended up Myself Johnny, and Conrads were tied going into the 3rd main. I had gate one so I was determined to get a good gate! I got an awesome gate and put together a solid lap for the win.

I was really pumped on the weekend. Hung out with some good people got 2 wins and 4 podiums for the weekend! So really excited training has been so hard and that its paying off. A huge improvement from Bakersfield were I only managed two semis.
